    Portable Hand-Controls

    Hi everyone...

I'll be doing a lot of driving in the next few months, and I'll not always be driving my vehicle.

I've seen some websites that sell portable hand controls.

I would like to hear from anyone who has purchased a set of these type of hand controls so that I don't buy a product that doesn't work, is flimsy or defective, or just doesn't do the trick.

Anyone who knows where to buy a good set of portable hand controls, please post or IM.

    Thanks much

I have had these type for a few years and they work real well, even when I had the car dealership and was driving every car on the lot. They can be purchased Here

    Thanks Curtis.

Did you ever drive long distances with these hand controls?

I'll be driving a thousand miles, a few different times, so I'll be driving 3K miles at least.

    Thanks Curt

forgot, are they legal? I mean, have you ever had a rental car agency refuse to allow you to use them?
    thanks

I put them on the rental Mustang and Uhaul big truck I had and it is legal and the hand controls (the one Curt is speaking of) are great and easy to use.

    Thanks Hunker

    Justin, thanks for the link.

I think I'll go with what's been tried and proven by Hunker and Curt.

    Hey -

I also use the hand controls that Curtis suggested. I've had them for several years now and have never had any problems - they're the only hand controls I have, and I've driven some fairly long distances with them. Good luck!

Try them and see how "u" feel - Many AB need to take them off if you share. Otherwise I found them to be an outlet to a free ride

Thanks Jim. With three endorsements, I can't go wrong.

The hand controls I have in my car cost 350 bucks, plus labor...fella wouldn't sell them to me and let me install them myself.

If I had known about these ones, I would have bought them long ago.

    thanks all

    -Bob
