My VMI had been pretty good with no problems for the first 2 years.

It all turned to shit after my battery died and then I got a boost to start the car. The Circuit board got fried... almost started a fire. I was without a vehicle for a week and now I have one that doesn't work right.

They have no clue what's wrong with it or how to fix it. Or why it shorted out and nearly caught fire in the first place.

The problem is now that it's no longer a one-touch system. I have to hold down the open or close to make the ramp do anything and it cuts out here and there and does funny things for no reason at all. (and with no consistency of course)

    Aren't electrical problems great?!?

I can't remember if I am 54" or 56" seated in my powerchair.

I think a lot depends upon your local service center. We have had 2 IMS vans and when either needed repairs we got very fast and good service from Max's Lift-Gate in the Long Beach area. In other areas where service is not as good for IMS you might do better with a different brand.
