    In a wheelchair
I used to dream I was running on and on. I thought it was my way of dealing with not running so I started racing chairs. The dream went away after awhile and I believe it was my way of dealing with SCI. I was running from accepting my injury.I hate dreaming about work because you don't get paid overtime for it!

I just completed a friend's web site for his band. To my surprise, he wrote a song about the impact of our relationship. I've only known him since I was injured. Anyways, my favorite lyrics of the song are "run like the boy in your dreams."

    Listen to the song (MP3)

    Check out the lyrics

I tend to dream about three things.

    1. Real sex with orgasm & ejaculation not fake moaning, groaning & viagra
    2. Skiing or snowboarding again
    3. Riding a bike... preferably at high speed

These three things, for me, are what made life worth living and brought me joy. SCI destroyed and continues to destroy many of the things that are worth anything.

Waking up usually leaves me empty & bitter. Better to sleep & dream!

in my dreams i'm ab. sometimes i have to stay in my chair like it's the law or something and i try not to get caught standing.

When I dream I'm usually walking, although sometimes like someone else said there is something wrong with me. I still tend to be slower than everyone else. A lot of times, I am pushing my chair in case I get tired and need to set in it. A really weird thing is my sister-in-law has only known me post SCI, and she says she has never had a dream of me that I wasn't up and running around.
The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.

I had a dream the other night I was in my standing frame (6000 Glider) and discovered I could move my legs. It was quite depressing to wake up to reality.

Learn from the mistakes of others, you won't live long enough to make all of them yourself.

The only dream I have had for a long time, and it just continues to happen is when I was on my motorcycle that morning, and I keep dreaming about when I made the impact with the car that turned in front of me. It feels so real like I can feel that thrust of pain as I hit. I wake up sweating and shaking, Just wish it would stop.

The most reoccurring dream I have starts in my chair and I forget I can't walk and I get up and shakily walk away

With all of our running and all of our cunning
If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane
