Talking about war...
I found this newsclip and thought many here would like to read it. It is really very sad and makes you wonder.

You know, I always wondered how I could donate some SCI stuff to the needy. I asked Care here in Germany, but they showed no interest. Anybody know of charities or programs who will accept medical goods for the needy?

There is an organisation in Australia called Technical Aid for the Disabled (TAD) who will take any equipment no matter what condition. They are retired engineers, builders etc. who restore equipment, modify it or design aids to individual needs. They only charge for material costs. They made me some book stands for $10 which I couldn't get elsewhere. Inappropriate stands were $50 at a minimum.
PADP also accept equipment in NSW.
