    If you have extra rims you could just use solid tires and fill them with sheet metal screws. That would be far more effective that zip ties, especially on ice.

    jpw, I used to live in Eagle River back in 1980, sure looks like it's grown alot. My log house was out the valley about 1/3 of way to the end of the road at the visitor center. Only a couple houses past us then.

    The zip-tie approach does not work if you have natural-fit rims with the thumb-guard
