You need to be professionally evaluated at a seating specialist (preferably with computer aided pressure mapping) in order to know which is better for YOU. There is no cushion that is "better" for everyone. When it comes to avoiding pressure ulcers, following anecdotes and advice from the internet could cost you dearly.

Having said that, the contoured cushion is more for positioning needs than different performance for pressure. Most people would assume the high profile to be the better, and maybe it is, but proper immersion on a Roho is the same on either. It really depends on what your particular anatomy requires in order to achieve proper immersion and positioning as to which would work better.

Which one would fit you better is impossible to say.

    Thanks Oddity.

    Good advice!

I'm currently using "4'' ROHO QUADTRO SELECT HIGH PROFILE"... I find it great for pressure relief, no marks or anything. It maps very well as well.

I'll do a map with OT of the
    "ROHO Contour Select".

I switched from the 4" ROHO QUADTRO SELECT to the ROHO Contour Select and find it much more comfortable.

How do y’all go about getting pressure mapped? I’ve never had anyone offer me this and idk if it’s even available in my area.

Also, how do you go about getting the cushion to get pressure mapped on? Does the DME just return the cushion if it doesn’t map well? Do you get multiple cushions mapped at the same time?

I get mapped at the rehab I went to or my district seating clinic (I'm not from the US though, not sure over what services are available there). I would arrange for multiple demo cushions (off a sales rep) to be there when I'm doing the mapping. (usually around 3 demo cushions)
