    Pulling Pulling Pulling Pulling muscles

My injury level is C6-7. I have a baclofen pump, but I am still experiencing tremendous pulling on the muscles in my core. This morning, when I was on my back, I grabbed both legs around each thigh and tried to stretch out the side of my stomach on each side. The right side between my ribs and hip just wants to tighten and pull in. The left side wants to bulge out. I can't get it to relax at all.

Now, while I'm sitting in my chair, it's still wanting to pull left and have me sit more on my left side.

I tried upping my baclofen, but that didn't help.

I have also tried Botox, which helped some areas a little.

Is there a specialist that can tell me which muscles are pulling and maybe how to isolate those and stretch them? I have tried a couple of massage therapists, but all they seemed to do was the same routine.

I would encourage you to try a PT - they should be able to help you. If possible, you should try to find someone with expertise in spinal cord injury/disease.
The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.
