Checking in, 41 years post SCI. I have been here for all versions of Cando, Spinewire, and CC.

I drifted over from New Mobility board years ago but didn't become very active until 2001-2002 when I broke both legs in a forward fall, (lousy wheelchair fit) hardware in leg, etc. I had to stop working full time but fortunately had private LTD. Slowing down a bit with the years but still hanging in there. Good family and friends keep it all worthwhile.

Miss some of the MIA's and those who have passed mentioned by others earlier in thread .

CC has been a wealth of information and a lot of good folks.

Now Patrick, don’t go foisting your fantasies off on poor Cherry. I recall that she was not terribly shy, but she was very very nice and just the right degree of wholesome.

I’m hesitant to join our Facebook group because that is my other life, and while I know there’s no real anonymity anymore, I’ve had some creepy experiences here that I’m not eager to invite into my local world, peopled mostly by high school friends. Who knows you better or loves you more than the people who saw the extra 15 pounds, awkward class office campaigns, and failed attempt at Farrah Fawcett hairstyles? I think I forget to post what I wrote about my delightful reunion this summer. May be coming soon…

So I’m just going to keep trying to beckon people out of the shadows as they occur to me.
    Cass
    Carrie
Jen Jen – did I see you on TV? Did you get elected to office somewhere down there in the Southwest?

The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.

Lol, you are so funny Random. There was a woman here who was a porn actress. She wasn't here long as I recall.

Yes, the awkward reunions... you described them really well. I like seeing the old jocks all fat and mostly bald who are living in a van down by the river. And the the shy quiet ones who are remade with the big bucks their husbands made. Cass was a real sweetheart. I trust she is well. I always love reading your posts.... when you post lol.

He's on Facebook now and then. He started a group a few years ago. I'll see if it's still in operation.

Check things out here quite often, don't post often enough to be missed but I appreciate the forums here.
