Thread: quads, pool float unit

    quads, pool float unit

    looking for something i can use to float in the pool. my legs float up and kicks my head back and down. wanting to be able to lounge head up comfortably. big noodle???

    It looks like Access to Recreation is out of business...their website url is no good any more. We used to get floats like this from them for our clients.

    I have used these. Pretty easy to get into since you just need to submerge part of the ring. It's nice, cuz you are mostly in the water keeping cool. I often fell asleep on it, as it is quite comfortable, stable, and secure.

    I also have used noodles. I put one or two under my lower back, one under shoulder blades and through armpits, and 1 under knees. Again, you are mostly in the water. This lets you submerge part of your head. Or, you can put another noodle under your neck (I cut this one short). You can kind of "swim" by flopping arms, thus getting some exercise.

    THX GUYS............ im not good in the pool, but like being in it. i'll check these out.
    next, what is easiest way to get in out. im paranoid about my butt scooting on the pool stairs. we used a hoyer and got close to the edge then went one stair at a time.

    We've tried a lot of different things in the pool. Multiple noodles, noodles with a sling style seat, lifejackets etc. My daughter doesn't like stuff around her neck in the pool and wanted more freedom to swim laps. (She is a former swim team member.) Found this that we are going to try out next.
