    getting gas smell off chair?

Somehow at the gas station yesterday the pump didn't shut off and overfilled my tank which in turn started running down the pump hose and down the left side of my chair as I was sitting next to my car. It got on the left side frame tubes, my left wheel / handrim, and down the side strap and all over my under seat bag. Now my chair smells like gas. It ruined my under seat bag, had to throw it and everything inside of it out.

I have tried mixing baking soda, vinegar, and water and rubbing it all over my chair to help with the smell, which it did a good bit, but there is still a smell there. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use that may help?

You may need a commercial deodorizer with enzyme cleaning action.

    OdorKlenz: https://www.amazon.com/OdorKlenz-Sou...r=8-2-fkmrnull

    ZorbX: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=zorbx&ref=nb_sb_noss_1

    Natures Miracle: https://www.amazon.com/Natures-Mirac.../dp/B00025K0L2

These are a little pricey, but may be worth it to get that smell off of your chair.

    Hi Brad.
I would try the tomato juice as suggested by vjls, if it works on skunk scent then I assume that it must be damned good ? No skunks down this way but I have come upon some heavily scented characters.
Oxyclean products should work but may remove/fade the dye. I expect not though as the dyes used would be especially colourfast to withstand the use of wheelchair operators
Oxycleaning products are just sodium percarbonate, which, if you can source it is a whole lot cheaper and more effective without the fillers you find in the 'specialty' products.

Dammit, there goes another promising solution out the window. Thank goodness there are no skunks here or there could be tomato stains for Africa.
Here is another one. Water filled soft drink bottles scattered about on the lawn deters dogs from fouling there.

LIL, I'd be inclined to try Dawn dishwashing soap, in water-it cuts grease/oil, really well and gasoline is just another petroleum product.
I use it to clean my hands when I get greasy.
Be sure to dry everything so it doesn't rust-especially quick release wheels axles.
    good luck
