Nothing like making you feel even more paralyzed

Then when you relocate home and literally have to sit there and the bystander to the whole effort!

I find any unusual experience like tat leaves me feeling distant and like I lost myself. Repetition is what lets experiences feel normal. Just move every month!

Why when I go to lift myself from this damn chair (not figuratively) it feels like my ass is pinned down?
Yet I feel sudden loud noises go up my spine and put me into a painful spasm ?
I'm watching these moving guys biting their tongues looking for opportunities to catch me aside in effort to ask me how I got planted in this chair.
Some as they cringe seeing my medical equipment especially the shower/toilet chair and urinary stuff.
Still, one is even asking if my Hoyer lift is a sex trapeze of sorts ....

They just don't want to realize it could easily be theirs.

Do you think you will like where you are moving to? Hope so.

Working class guys are such a trip! You might want to try using the Hoyer lift that way...

Being near the grand kids should be a lift. I'm happy for you. also I sympathize with the renovations that seem to take forever. I feel like I've been altering homes for way too many years.

    Hey Chesbay
    Thanks, you're very accurate .
Am I going to like it here? I friggin hope so. I'm done renovating homes and I'm not even a third way done with this old dog. I moved to Manasquan NJ. It's a cute town, I'm sure not as nice as the Virginia coast but it's just 10 mins to the grandkids...my life's pleasant distraction that think riding on my wheelchair is cool.

Great choice Tim! I grew up at the Jersey Shore ( Toms River when it was much smaller) and truly a special place. As Ancient says the boardwalks, ocean, great food, by the slice. My Mom lived in Point Pleasant during her final years and loved going down to the Manasquan inlet... and the ice cream vendor there.

Best of all being by grandkids and family, Enjoy! It's going to be great.
