Spare part - Progeo wheelchair - Tekna Advance

I am travelling and a plastic seat support has broken (see images, I don?t know what this is called).

i am in Bangkok for another day, then Tel Aviv for four days, then New York from 3 May until 9 May.

i can use the chair OK but am quite uncomfortable so I don?t want to wait until I get home to Australia to have it fixed. After that not staying long anywhere.

Do you know how I can have one delivered ASAP in Israel, or to my hotel in New York?

    thank you.

Is your chair unstable? I have one, a Quickie missing one of those seat "seats". The other three seem to hold things together fine but that one corner sags a little. What you could do as a fix is build up the lower rail with a shim and tape it on for the time being.
I have had periodic paralysis all my life. I lost my ability to walk in 2011 beginning with a spinal block, which was used for a hip fracture caused by periodic paralysis.

Stable, but as the break is on the outside, the seat rail doesn’t allow the frame to open fully, so the back supports aren’t fully open and the upholstery sags. As soon as i sat in it from the plane and heard a crack that I thought was in the aisle chair harness, I knew something was wrong.

i can’t do a temporary fix as you suggest as I frequently have to fold/unfold. I have thought to swap a front one to back but am unsure what the effect of that will be. It’s no good breaking a second one.

i would like to source a replacement (and a couple of spares). I hope I can find a dealer to provide them.

Can't you remove it completely and use the chair without it? My Quickie which looks very similar to your chair only has two supports in back on one in the front.

It is a suspension saddle Quickie part 561030 available here

    https://www.quickie-wheelchairs.com/...-s-n-prefix-q2

Or you can attach two pipe clips back to back. Your hotel concierge should be able to have someone do this for you.
