Maybe try wrapping a bunch of rubber bands on the turn signal lever knob for better grip. Or perhaps adding some kind of "wing" with a hose clamp, or cable tie(s). It took me awhile but I can operate the wiper switches on my Ford vans.

I've used hose clamp with about 2" of the "tail" pointed up. Wrap the tail with friction tape.

Yes, but with the end of the clamp sticking a few inches past the adjustment screw. You just push or pull on this "tail". It's pretty stiff, so it won't bend.

The first van I bought back in 2001 came from a small local shop, they put a tower style hose clamp on my turn signal lever to operate the wipers and it works so well it has moved on to two other vans with me over the years.
