    Juicer recommenadtion

hi, I was looking for juicer as a bday present for my mom but found only this thread http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/showthr...?165232-Juicer and there is nothing in it. If you have one at home and can say that it works well, let me know what it is. I reading some reviews, but they're almost the same actually. I'm choosing from Kuvings, Omega, and Hurom right now (top 3 on this list https://wisepick.org/best-masticating-juicer/), would be great if you have one of them and have something to say

I purchased a Breville Juice Fountain back in 2015. It's pretty robust. It can plow through fruits and vegetables with relative ease.

I have a similar Breville centrifugal juicer (though mine is probably 15 years old). It's fairly easy to clean and does well with relatively hard fruits and vegetables (ginger, apples, carrots, celery, cucumbers) but is quite poor at juicing greens and leafy vegetables (might get 1 ounce of juice out of a pound of spinach for example, most of that just gets tossed in the trash).

I assume a masticating juicer like you're looking for, ThrilledOne, is better at leafy greens, but I have no personal experience with those.

I saw a video about this juicer one time, https://purejuicer.com/products/pure...kaAsY0EALw_wcB

It seems like the absolute best juicer and best way to get maximum juice out of whatever you want to juice... but the price is a bit... panic inducing... If you've got the means though it seems far superior to any masticating or centrifugal juicer.

I have never quite worked out the benefits of juicing fruit or vegetables.
So you can make expensive compost? Or more expensive rubbish waste? So your teeth and digestive system becomes redundant?
Then, there is the need to buy roughage in a pack?.

Juicers are hard to clean. Mine sat on a shelf unused. I gave it away and now it sits on someone else's shelf unused.

I prefer a good blender, like a Vitamix. Very easy to clean so it gets used more.

One of the benefits of fruits and veggies is fiber. A juicer eliminates the fiber. Why would you want to do that? If you want the vitamins and minerals of large quantities of fruit or veggies, then it may be way too much fiber and so a juicer makes more sense than a blender. Otherwise, if you just want a small healthy drink now and then, a blender makes a lot more sense than a juicer.

I like the Breville Juice Fountain as well. Really not that big for all it can do at one time. Love that I can put the whole bunch of celery in at once, took about 20 minutes to juice 5 bunches, pour the juice into (4) 16 oz containers and clean it all up!! Worth the money. And it's very nice to look at it
