MICROCYN, after you get stones removed, NEVER vinegar nor bleach, bleach is dangerous, vinegar feeds various 'critters' you get in your bladder, stop eating sugar, it weakens your immune system, primarily rendering your white blood cells ineffective at 'devouring invaders'. I 'revived the vet/microcyn thread because I am seeing hundreds of posts about utis/clogged catheters/ leaking, etc all over FB
EVERYONE needs to see the thread and study it to learn effective combat technique against these problems

It is not difficult to make your own saline solution for irrigating, and that is probably more effective than vinegar. There is an old research paper done with a small number of catheter users than compared irrigating with Puracel (similar to Microcyn). The sample group consisted of people with chronic UTI problems. Saline worked at least as well as Puracel.

Great to hear that you are doing well. Prevention is the better way but there is no guarantee that all the preventative methods will work.

Hope that you continue on the mend.
