NYT Disability OpEd: Revelations in a wheelchair

Nicely written opinion except for the groaner cliched paragraph:
"The doctors could not guarantee that I would walk again, but I persevered. A year later, I had regained some ability to move. I did not regain feeling in the lower half of my body, but I could walk again."

Can't believe the NYT editors continue to allow this kind of misleading language in their newspaper.

I moved this to the "Life" forum as the News forums don't get read much. Hope that is OK.

They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.
