    more questions...

my urologist is pretty set on doing the CAT scan instead of an ultrasound, and mentioned it would check for bladder and kidney stones. will this also check the ureters and gall bladder?

I take calcium supplements normally and am wondering if they've been the cause of my sediment...but I read another post that mentioned calcium leaching out of bones that were unused due to SCI.
can sediment/stones be caused by either of these factors?

I think the point has been made that you have to qualify with your doctor about what he expects the imaging technologist to do. In some facilities a renal ultrasound means one thing and in other facilities it means another. The same probably goes for a CT scan. Your doctor should be specific in his order as to what he wants imaged.
