    Caster bearing help

I need bearings with the description of 7/8 x 5/16 608-2MS. Can anyone help me find a comparable item online? The DME is wanting $10 per bearing (not including shipping). Thanks.

My bearings froze up in one wheel the other day. Went to a skate shop and they sold me a 2 pack for $5, and changed them.

DMEHUB.COM has good prices and good advice. I bought mine on Amazon. I think it was a 10-pack for $8.

Caster bearings shouldn't be hard to DIY. Caster fork bearings can be difficult.

Any skateboard shop has them. And may pop them in for free.

7/8 x 5/16 is the outer race x the size of the axle diameter. You just need to measure the thickness and Bob's your Uncle. The 608-2MS seems to be a Sunrise number. Ebay is a good source, just make sure they're sealed bearings.

And the DME shipping charge will probably cost more than the bearing.

No skate shop near me. I need double sealed bearings and it's for a powerchair. How do I know the ones posted above are the right size? Should I remove the bearing to get the third dimension? Yes...shipping would be about $10.

I don't mind going through a DME or wherever, but if I can get them considerably less online that would be great.

As you stated 608-2MS are your bearings. These are them, fully sealed: https://www.amazon.com/608-2RS-Beari.../dp/B002BBCX0Q
Price is high even including shipping. You can probably find something less, just google 608-2MS.

To be certain you need to know the thickness. If you remove the bearing there should be a number on it, that should also get you to the correct bearing with a web search. I'm not sure about what Andy linked to as the measurements are metric, according to Sunrise the bearing is in inches. The metric measurements are close but could be tight or sloppy.
