    3 d printing bladders

Just read this article about a young boy with spina bifida who had a new bladder printed from him using his own Stem cells. Does anyone know if research is being done into using this for bladder augmentation - guessing it would avoid many of the risks such as mucus build up from bowel segment and reduce related Uris etc.

I saw a documentary on 60 minutes, or 20/20 about this. They had actually taking a pigs heart and stripped it of all the properties like DNA and then grow stem cells and activated them to grow a heart. And when they transplanted the cells onto the blank heart after a couple weeks it had grown all the muscles everything just like a heart, they gave it a shot and it started beating!
