Mine is 80. I need it firm to transfer onto from the chair but since I can't feel it :>) it doesn't matter to me how hard it feels. We've had ours long before my accident and I concur...best bed ever!

I recently got a pressure sore on my sacrum from sleeping on my back at too high of a number. I could not feel it either and figured it would do no harm.

I have now added a 2 inch memory foam topper under the Sleep Number padded cover and started sleeping at around 40, filling to 100 for transfers. For at least the near future, I'm also sleeping on my side. After I'm healed up I hope to spend at least some of the night on my back again.

How/why did you decide that 100 was your best sleep number? That seems like a very hard surface.

70 on my back, 40 on my side. The remote is a lifesaver.....

The instructions on how to determine number, "fill to 100 and lay down, release air until desired firmness". I laid down and loved it, didn't need to adjust.
(I've tried different numbers, and keep going back to 100)

Again, for those with sleep number beds, and especially for those with adjustable bed frames, do you use a 'draw-sheet', and if so, what kind. I use one, and I'm always worried about wrinkles.
