Need to replace TiLite TX with comparable aluminum chair by any manufacturer..

I currently have a TiLite TX circa 2011 that has served me pretty well and I would like to get something similar I think, however if I want a titanium chair I would have to pay the difference between it and the comparable aluminum chair. I don't really mind aluminum though I'm sure they use a 6000 series aluminum that it rigid and strong. I just don't know of the other chairs and manufacturers that mKE GOOD Chairs. My DME told me that raw Quickie 2 Lite is the most popular Chair they sell, but I bought one of those for my first chair and it was falling apart after the first year. Had stuff breaking IN THE FIRST MONTH WITH THAT CHAIR. Is their build quality better than It was in 2010?

No, the quality has not improved. It's their most poplar chair because they push the model and get the largest discounts than other chair manf.

No firsthand experience with it yet but I'm very intrigued...

Hi Nautical Mike, I still have my TiLite 2GX that is God knows how old and is still giving me good service.
Another option to consider, I know a couple who have Melrose; have you looked at them?

Looks great to me but ads are often deceptive and Quickie chairs have left me unhappy in the past. That may have had a lot to do with the DME though...

I had a used quickie 2 lite for about a year and it was okay. My insurance had dumped me with a quickie GPV that I could not use at all. I would not want to use the quickie lite 2 if I needed it every day. Recently got a Tilite ZRA and so much better. It actually takes up less space in the car than the folding quickie 2 lite. I just plop it on the seat and it sits their like a stadium seat pad so I essentially loose no room in the car. Is something like that a possibility. They have a chair exactly the same but aluminum called the Aero Z. Just a bit heavier.

Melrose are a solid Kiwi company (New Zealand) and they are also in the USA. Fresno, California
Check them out and they will have answers to your questions.
If the USA Melrose operate as well as the NZ company, I think that you will have a good, no bullshit, response.
I have found them to be helpful & informative when inquiring about consumerable spares for my TiLite.
    Usual disclaimers
You can read the background here. Phillip Melrose knows chairs; he uses them.

Believe me, I'm the last person to go by marketing information. Truth is that Quickie and a number of other manufacturer's have been stepping up their collective games in this segment.

It would be hard to top a TX that was truly dialed in for its user. Very few of them actually were, however.
