Thread: cellphone ?

    cellphone ?

I just ran over my cellphone with my 350 + lb. wheelchair. I cannot get a response out of it so it must be dead. Here is my question. Will the sim card from this Nokia 521 with Windows 10 phone (gsm Tmobile) work in an unlocked Android phone?

    Thanks for your help.

I'm no techie and I'm not 100% sure, but if the phone is unlocked and the sim card fits you ought to be okay.

I couldn't find a Nokia 521 on the website I look stuff up on (GSM arena), but it looks like the 520 has a micro sim card. If your android phone has a nanosim card slot then it definitely won't work because the SIM card is too large for the new phone, but otherwise I think it's supposed to be pretty much plug and play if you've got an active sim card and an unlocked phone.

So there are different sized simcards? I guess I will have to figure out what size my size is and look for a matching phone. I am close to being cellphone illiterate these days.

Okay, I took the sim out and it is a micro and does not look like it is damaged. Now I will look for a cheap used or refurbished gsm Android phone. Suggestions are welcome. It has to cost less than $100. My mashed phone was $75 and new w hen I got it from Amazon.

should be fine...if not TMO store can give you a new sim if card size is different.

They can also help move over your contacts if you dont use Google contacts.

You can get Att smart phone to will work on TMO and or newer Verizon iphones and android phones work on TMO

Check out there 55+ plan if you qualify too.

That is something to aspire to be
I just bought a new? Xcover2 (2013-2015?), only because I am slightly familiar with this model.
Even thisold dog of a phone (my Sons' term) has way too many functions that I could do without but they appear to be a robust phone and handle the rough times I give - dropping more often than is safe.
A tough simple phone that accepted and made calls, had a directory, clock/alarm/reminder, a note pad and didn't track me would be sufficient.
