Mazda 5 w/ Sliding Power Door

I have a Ricon RDO 2500 sliding door kit and the spring broke at the forward door bracket where it connects to the chain.

Hoping someone with this set up or another sliding door set up can shoot a picture of the forward door bracket and how the spring connects to the chain, the manual references a washer but I'm not sure what part the washer plays in the install and I haven't been able to locate a loose washer in the back of my van.

The broken spring looks to be 5/8 x 2 inches.

    Thanks

I wish you luck in getting it fixed.

As a fellow 5 owner, I am intrigued. How long have you had it? First time it has failed? Price? Recommended?

I don't know if this is what you need, but it has a very lousy picture of what they say is the forward door bracket showing the chain, washer and spring. Actually I can't see the spring, but they say it is there. Between page 2-1 and 2-2 markers.

I have had periodic paralysis all my life. I lost my ability to walk in 2011 beginning with a spinal block, which was used for a hip fracture caused by periodic paralysis.

I have had the Mazda for just a little less then a year and this is the only issue that I have had.

After a little trial and error I got it fixed, had to shorten a store bought spring and come up with the right tools and position for my g**p hands. With the drivers seat in full recline it made it pretty easy to hook the spring in place.

    Thanks for the encouragement.
