After 17 years I am sure things have loosened up. Maybe you could check out some bicycle wheel truing videos on YouTube and get yourself a spoke wrench which are cheap. Truing is not rocket science but it takes patience. I would imagine the noise is coming from the loose spokes moving as the wheel turns.

    Good luck.

    Cheers,
    Jim

Vicky, the stricker is hell on our wheels. maybe do a day trip for a good wheel tune up. wc wheels aren't built for the mileage we do with these strickers.

I am constantly tightening spokes and sometimes breaking them. I am going to get a set of wheels laced up like bike wheels as I think they will hold up better but even bike wheels do not get the punisment my wheelchair wheels do when cycling taking turns at 15 mph. I agree you should take a day trip and get them tuned up

A wheelchair place may not have someone that knows what they are doing as far as tuning up a wheel
