Is it clear or purple/black? In general, it is not a good idea to pop blisters or drain them. Black blisters on the heels are best left undisturbed completely...allowed to dry out on their own, no dressing, and if you are lucky, will peel off in 5-6 weeks. Once it is dry, assess it daily by gently pressing on the surface. If it feels mushy or pus comes out the edges, it needs to be debrided by a physician or wound care nurse, otherwise leave it alone.
