    duette catheter

    quick question..
I?ve been using Duettes now since last fall and was concerned at first because I was a size 20 and the largest size available was an 18. I made the transition smoothly.

However, the last few times my husband has changed it the stoma has appeared to SHRINK slightly! Any insight about what to do or why this is happening?

Yes, if you use a smaller Fr. catheter your stoma will usually reduce in size more. This is normal.
