    Need to pitch and moan

well the past couple of years hasn't been good for me and I'm just here to pitch in my own just to get things out of my head. So here it is

2014 had gotten Botox in my bladder, he couldn't use the rigid scope so he had to switch to the flexible scope. Well, something he nicked in my urethra, which caused me to bleed profusely. I was wearing black pants so I didn't notice anything until I laid down, which we noticed that it was a steady drip of blood coming out a penis. After about four chucks. We called the urologist and he said, "there's going to be a little bleeding. Just give it until tomorrow." Tried to explain exactly what was happening, but finally just went to the ER for a week to get it to stop. He never would admit or apologize about what happened.

2015 September I was getting a really upset stomach and needed to throw up but I could, so I get up on my shower chair opened a different position might help, my stomach had ballooned out so I laid back down. I did get sick and get some of it up, but my stomach was real hard. So I go to the ER and they do a CAT scan and then stick a G tube up my nose and pump out three canisters worth of bile. They tried to do an upper G.I. and find out that I had a collapsed duodenum. While my surgeon was in there fixing that he noticed that part of my stomach had become erotic and fused to my abdominal wall. So he had to cut me open and take out about 25% of my stomach! Which that surgery recovery as a whole another story, I did find out that my crazy drug is Ativan!

2016 March: fighting a bladder infection finds that I have bladder stones and had to get a cystoscopy to get those removed. While he was in there he saw a little red spot and took a biopsy. About two days later, the scab came off and nothing but blood was coming out of my suprapubic. So back to the ER I go which they keep me for about eight hours and then send me home. Two days later it does it again. So back to the ER I go which they keep me for a whole week and got the bleeding under control, found out to be nothing. Well, they left the EKG tag on my chest which, when we took it off. It took off a layer of skin like a pop blister, it's still there today and it will not heal.

2016 December: still having abdominal pains found that my gallbladder was full of stones, so I had that removed. Symptoms are still the same, even though I have to eat smaller meals because of my stomach.

So here we are today, I have a spot on my chest, 2 pencil head spots on my left cheek, a dime size spot on my right cheek, I'm having stomach and bowel cramps that all push down to my bladder, causing it to cramp, shooting sharp pains which I need to schedule a CAT scan for my Gastro doctor and my urologist. I take hydrocodone for the pain but they get constipated, causing more pain, etc. etc. etc. something is changed to where I'm not absorbing nutrients like I used to. Because before this, I would have healed really quick, I'm drinking premier protein drinks. This is so maddening, I feel like throwing in the towel after 32 years of feel like I'm done!

That is quite a recollection of events and I'm sorry you have had to endure these problems. Hope the CAT scan finds what is going on.

Meanwhile, have you been to a wound care specialist to have the sore spots treated?

That does suck! A wound that won't heal without a pressure problem .. hmm. You've had your thyroid tested as well as for diabetes? You mentioned that you have some sort of nutrient absorption problem? Sounds like that is job number one to get looked at.

I'm sorry it's been so rough!

No, I'm going to make an appointment for next week. I'm also going to get my regular GP to do blood work for range of everything that could be wrong, because I'm tired of laying in bed staring at the same four walls which I had given them names LOL. Having all these problems just adds more stress because of my father passed away on February 27. Also, my wife and my friend/caregiver/roommate take care of me and they are about burned-out. We have serious trust issues with other people being in the house. My friend lost his stepfather in December and his mother six months prior, my wife's father passed away two years ago. I'm just so burned-out from all the SCI shit that comes along with it!

. On a side note, on May 19 will be my 25th anniversary with my wife, who has been through it all with me. We've been Together for 25 years, we got married in 2007, because if insurance reasons. We really celebrate that day. It's more the day that we met. She's also my main caregiver and our friend/roommate Is my other caregiver, and that's it. We have serious trust issues because we have been burned by family and friends, and are very reluctant about having someone new at our house.

On February 27 last month my father passed away, my roommate lost his stepfather last December and his mother 6 months prior. And my wife lost her father 2 years ago on June 27. So there has been a lot of heartache around here. [I have no idea of what to do for our anniversary, which is in 2 months.

Did anything get figured out for you? I came on here to pitch and moan myself, but my issues are ?only? emotional ones for now. Lots of loss over the last few years though, and recently found out my dad has terminal lung cancer. I already felt so emotionally depleted from my disability and everything that goes with it that I don?t see how I can handle this and come out the other side as a semi-whole person. I hope things have taken a turn for the better for you.
