    Lamprey research on spinal cord recovery

    Link above is to research published in Nature Jan 15, 2018.
    I just read the abstract, but gist appears to be that researchers found that lampreys ( type of eel) regenerate neurons, axons etc. after SCI. Interesting.

    Ok, slight correction: lampreys are "eel-like, parasitic fish" not true eels. If anyone cares...

    I wish they would quit calling them eels.
    I'm trying to find a source of eels never would have thought it would have been so hard.
    but yeah they keep trying to sell me lamprey !!
