Home brew hoist for ocean access

This may be a bit too home grown for some folks, but getting my wife in and out of the ocean by means that does not require two men and a boy was a priority for us and this works. I'm still honing the system, but it works as is.

In a nutshell, its a trailer hitch receiver mounted on the top edge of my truck's bed to hold a swing arm that terminates with the working part of a Bruno wheelchair lift. The link below is to a YouTube explanation of the whole thing.

I assume no responsibility for what you do with this idea, but I do hope it helps someone in some way come up with a solution to their issue.

Two things to add on to the video:
    1) have the truck engine running - I was surprised that for this short use
it made a difference, but it really does.
    2) Cut legs to wedge under both sides of the bumper to eliminate
the truck's suspension making it feel less strong.
