    Foot steering

I have central cord. My right arm is totally paralyzed and my left arm is only slightly better. I ave been driving with foot steering for almost 16 years now and wondering if anyone else here does also. I would love to see if there is any new equipment or just see what other experiences are. Thanks in advance!

Not personal experience, but of a friend of the family has polio which affects her arms much more than her legs.

She drives with a wheel on the right foot with a shoe for it turns for steering, press down for gas, using her left foot for brakes (because the right foot is in the shoe). Hell it's probably old technology by now, but that's how she's still doing it.

We've built a bunch of vans with foot steering the the past 30+ years.

    Not a lot has changed.

Its been a while since we've seen anyone with the need for one.

Best guess is its been 5-6 years since we built one.
