the candy we buy to give out now is many Milky Way bars. We used to give away many $100,000 bars, but those are made anymore.. Those were my favorite things to get when I trick-or-treated in my younger, not paralyzed days (we definitely trick-or-treated into our teenage years in my neighborhood, which was chock-full of kids, and thus, houses which gave away candy. We got great hauls every year.)

Maybe this new Hershey's candy bar (with no chocolate) will be the "It" candy for next Halloween. Hershey Gold described as a caramelized cream bar embedded with salty peanut and pretzel bits. Look for it after Dec. 1.

We've sat in the lobby of our condo during the last three years handing out candy ... I bought 150 pieces and had 25 left but gave it to a neighbour. After she told me she is diabetic type 1! She's a waitress at a strip club and wears at least 4" heels at all times. Tiny little thing.

I always try to include tootsie rolls or pops - had both this year along with sour Maynard's candy, various chocolate bars and suckers.

The news has reported 3 incidents of finding a sharp object shoved into the candy in my town and a town two hours away from me.
