    Lap tray

Greetings! I currently use the pictured lap tray with my Permobil chair. When being evaluated for a new van, the evaluator advised against having the tray on while being transported in case of airbag deployment in an accident (I sit in the front passenger area). While I could have the tray removed and replaced while being transported, it's a bit of a hassle (admittedly nothing major!), but I was curious what others use. I often place files on it for work when meeting with clients. I've seen ones that rest on the legs, my only concern is if the tray or papers would start to slide on my legs, I'd have difficulty keeping them from falling (especially when I tilt). Just thought I'd see what others use!

    Look at this system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=1NOZ4lAmgqs

If you want to use one of the pillow backed lap trays, you can find them with a rim that will keep things from sliding off, and can also add a piece of Dycem or non-slide shelf liner to prevent materials from sliding when tilting.

You can Google "pillow lap tray" and find tons of them, but this is the one I bought for my mother and she used it all the time both in her wheelchair and sitting in a recliner: http://prestigeproductinc.com/e-comm...-catalog2.html

There are many styles of lap desks with pillow bases. I've had several and they work great for a while, but be prepared to replace them every year or so if the pillow is filled with plastic microbeads. They tend to collapse and then you're just balancing a piece of wood on your lap. Internet search for "lap desk." Brookstone has a couple.
When I searched, I found this one, pricey, but some nice features for use at work: https://bobbiejosonestopshop.com/pro...-portable-draw

Have you considered a luggage carrier so that you could carry a briefcase? They are inexpensive, light, and discrete. You could carry your tray inside the briefcase and access it whenever you meet clients. Take a look at post #10 at the link below for some more ideas.
