Toenail Fungus and Hot Tub? Yay or Nay?

I'm going to the Yukon and hoping to visit a Hot Spring.
I read the water has a lot of sulfur.
I have toenail fungus and I wear water shoes.

    Should I be concerned?
What about transfer of the fungus from my feet?

If I knew I had a toenail fungus, think I'd be courteous and not get into the waters where I might spread the fungus to other users of these waters. Just sayin'.

Sorry if this suggestion gets in the way of your enjoyment, but think you need to be mindful of other people and spreading your problem to others.

Should you be concerned about yourself, probably not...Should you be concerned about others, probably yes.

I was told if you don't take a shower after you get out your skin starts to itch badly because of the sulfur.
I assumed the sulfur would kill the bacteria and stop spreading.

    Dumb assumption.

Fungus is under the toenails because it is a nice moist dark area. I would wash off before, wear water shoes and wash off afterwards. People don't easily get fungus from contaminated water. Everyone should be washing (and drying well ) after the baths.

You could ask your doctor to order you the medication to take by mouth to get rid of the fungus or at least be on the medication as it takes quite a while and is difficult to get rid of.
