    Extreme Headaches!

I'm currently checked into respite care while my family is on vacation. Since I got here, I've recently been experiencing terrible, terrible headaches. I noticed that they happen when my bladder spasms. I thought that it was either migraines, which I have no history of, or autonomic dysreflexia.

I spoke to the doctor on duty this morning regarding my headaches but after my urine and blood tests both came back clean, she seems to be at a loss on what to do to help me alleviate my headaches.

I'm currently prescribed ibuprofen every six hours and it helps but only a minuscule amount.

Every single time my bladder spasms which is every three or four hours, I feel like my head is being hit with a hammer. The pain is so bad that I feel like I'm dying during those few minutes when it is at its peak. After it peaks, I still feel completely terrible for the next 20 minutes or so while my head still continues pounding.

I don't know what's causing it and I've never experienced it before in my five years of being a spinal cord injury of C 4/5. Do you guys have any clues? I have pretty much ruled out autonomic dysreflexia because I don't have a urine infection, constipation or any known pressure sores. I don't know whether I can trust my own sensations but I can tell you that the sensations that I seem to have, reflect a throbbing bladder.

    Has anybody experienced this before?

P.S. My vital signs are also all completely normal whenever they take them. My blood pressure, oxygen levels and temperature are all fine.

Roses are red. Tacos are enjoyable. Don't blame immigrants, because you're unemployable.

I'm sorry I don't quite understand. Are you asking if I am on a harder bed? From what I can tell, it's pretty much the same hardness. I'm not sure what dry dehydration is. Do you mean not drinking enough water? I don't think that I am avoiding water. Well I have been since I started getting these headaches but it's still a very healthy amount every day. I definitely am drinking less then I drank at home but I don't think it should make a difference right?

I will try drinking more water though.
