Grip tape for weak & painful hands on objects

hi there! I recently upgraded my firefly to the new/2nd generation version, and I love it. (No one told me it has cruise control, what a godsend!)

But the new battery doesn't have a handle like the old ones used to, and they've made it a tighter fit on the slider thingy, which is great for keeping it secure during a ride, but I'm really struggling to remove it for charging indoors. I wonder if there's some sort of tape I might be able to stick to the front & sides, so I can grip it a lot easier... Anyone got any recommendations or ideas, please?

    Cheers.

The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.

How about wrapping a ribbon under it to be able to lift it out of the hole
