Out of curiosity, what are the adverse effects of stem cells for SCI? Also has there been any studies showing improvements in stem cells for SCI patients?

In our ChinaSCINet Trials there have been no adverse effects from injecting umbilical cord blood cells into the spinal cord. Improvements in subjects with complete, chronic injuries include return of bowel/bladder function as well as the ability to walk with max to no assistance. Here's the paper that summarizes the results- http://www.ingentaconnect.com/search...ize=10&index=7

There is a big risk undergoing 'treatments' that have not been tested for safety in clinical trials. These are offered all around the world for $.

If course there will be risks, there's no way there won't be risks.
Look at the posted side-effects of each Rx advertised on TV, and those hurt by Rx before pulled by FDA.
But what hi-quad that suffers untreatable chronic pain won't choose to take that chance rather than suffer in silence?
