In case you weren't aware, here is what RTI says to people who purchase a used RT300:
In response to your inquiry about purchasing an RT300 privately, first I want to make you aware that RTI, however; cannot act as the intermediary in this scenario. The sale would be handled independently between you and the seller. Please note that the settings for the cycle would be specific to the seller as the user. In order for us to assist you with updating the setting/parameters as the new user, we would require a $1500 fee for an install/training session via Skype, or a $2500 fee for an in-home install/training session. In either scenario, we require a prescription as it is a class II medical device. At that point you would be eligible for clinical and technical support from RTI.
The settings on an RT300 are complex and really should be set up by a trained specialist.

The SCI-Nurses are advanced practice nurses specializing in SCI/D care. They are available to answer questions, provide education, and make suggestions which you should always discuss with your physician/primary health care provider before implementing. Medical diagnosis is not provided, nor do the SCI-Nurses provide nursing or medical care through their responses on the CareCure forums.
RTI really does their best to scare people away from buying or selling used equipment. I recently called them to ask if they would buy my cycle back (which they wouldn't) because I was looking to sell it and the lady said now it gets sketchy there because it was prescribed just for you and it would be like selling your medicine LOL WOW then she said they recommend donating it. The ONLY reason you would need to pay RTI anything is if your cycle malfunctioned or broke which is rare. $1500 for a skype call? 2500 for an in home visit?!?!?! The settings on the cycle are not specific to the user, all you do is put a 4 digit pin in and adjusting the settings is as easy as tapping the touch screen. I do reccomend exercising caution because the electric stim is very powerful if turned up. You are just looking for a nice muscle contraction. It comes with a manual and I would be happy to make a video or help through a skype call for free lol the settings are a little complex but nothing crazy.
