    Coming into flower

My favourite plant is putting on another show, this is despite the neglect I shower upon it.

This wonder plant serves me well with cuts, burns, stomach upset, treatment of bladder infections and as a preventative of them.
And along with those benefits it is cost effective too.
I have tried using it as a gargle but that takes a higher level of courage and commitment.

Aloe (called a hot poker plant in the USA).

My apologies cfk, it wasn't meant as a quiz. That was a decent sized oversight of mine

It is the Aloe Vera plant and this particular one works better than fine. Often I have thanked it for its health benefits.
I have sent 'pups' to friends who have had a use for it and their experiences have all been positive.

There are a number of separate plants there Bonnette.
When I reduced the size of that garden there was an amount of soil in a heap. The wrenched/dug out plants were 'dumped' there and have thrived ever since.
Yes, it is especially impressive when it comes into flower. The flower heads take a time before they reveal themselves in their full colour, and only for a relatively short time, maybe a week or more.
It is worth the wait though.
