    Surge pieces

This is my Surge handrim, my hand rub off a lot of rubber pieces from the strip, and drop all over the hub, like I am sketching with pencil and rubber. I think it need some improvement.

I use Q-grips with leather gloves and see the same flecks on my hubs. They seem to be created during higher-speed rolls down longer hills, when the gloves and rims get quite hot. The push rims are several years old and still in good shape, so the little pieces seem to be something to not worry about.

I see. I thought Q grip does not have this problem.

I am on my second set of Surge handrims in three years because the rubber strip wore out. Never noticed pieces though (black hubs).
