    Manual standing or lifting wheelchair?

Asking for a friend with MS, is there such a thing as a manual wheelchair that can also 'lift' you up 5-6 inches? She wants to continue cooking and doesn't want to have her kitchen remodeled. She isn't very internet savvy, so I told her I would ask around.

I know there are some manual wheelchairs with a standing function. They are heavy and I have no experience with them.
    Here's one:

I haven't heard of a manual wheelchair that lifts you and you stay in a seated position if that is what she is looking for.

Yes there is. I saw one advertised a couple of days ago searching for something else. I'll try to recall where, no promises.
I have had periodic paralysis all my life. I lost my ability to walk in 2011 beginning with a spinal block, which was used for a hip fracture caused by periodic paralysis.

This one doesn't look so good, I would want to be strapped in:

I have a Helium standing chair by Permobil. Depending on how the air springs are set relative to your weight, it may fill the need. I can get mine to hold me all the way up, about 2/3 the way up, only 4-6 inches up, and of course, seated.

She wants a manual chair, she isn't ready for a power chair yet. Nonoise, that second link is still the Proactive, I think it's a German company. I think it is just what she wants, so the next question would be is she willing to pay that price, and will they ship it. I will pass the info on to her.

I want one too. Heck I want one of everything.

edit: I am sure I saw one for sale here in the states a few days ago, but I could not find it again. What I remember is that a vendor had something like three chairs, and one was exactly this type.
