I'm heading to NYC next week. Need to be in Times Square saturday night. Any ideas on places to stay? I'm driving from FL, so what about parking? How easy/hard to stay outside the city, then take the train/subway in?
Parking is always a problem in the city, and expensive. You might want to check airbnb to see if you can find something.
Morning I just got your message so I will answer here and to your message. 1st thing enjoy enjoy enjoy! New York City is such an amazing city and so many in our community repeat horror stories and stay away. For us its so much fun and very very accessible.

Hotels can be very expensive and rooms crazy small so I would start looking now asap. Make sure your needs are explained out ( need a roll in shower, I use a hoyer lift etc). Once booked make sure you call the hotel as a lot of call centers are not on property. As for the GM and reconfirm you need extra room to roll etc.
We also have them remove extra furniture to make as much room as possible.
Stuff to do Central Park, Statton Island Ferry, lots of TV shows table there check out Today Show or GMA for free, Dr Oz, The View, The Chew have stand by tickets doe day of shows free
Chelsea Market where the Food Channel, YouTube MLB are based out of.
We love the subways its a little nerve wracking at 1st because its so busy but the best tip is New Yorkers are very helpful!
What we noticed is sometimes the gab from the platform to the train car is high so roll down the line till you find one more closer to the platform height. If you get off at a stop and it elevator is out dont panic get back on till you find the next stop with a elevator and come back.
Ill send yo my number if you have issues text me !
Cant wait to see your pictures!!
