    My lights on the chair

Please don't laugh too hard. This is my first video showing the lights I added to my power chair. They are basically bicycle lights I got on Amazon. The were fairly cheap and it took 2 sets to do both sides of the chair. I have been very happy with the way they work for me. Even the cheap looking little red led lights that just strap on with a silicon strap are amazing.

Nothing to laugh at, that's a great, easy way to add lighting to a chair!

    Nice lights.

I'm interested in you Quickie side pack. What are the dimensions of the pack? I see you used cotton or nylon webbing with what looks like two piece plastic buckle closures. Did you mount the webbing over the arm rest or some other place?

    Thanks

They still make those bags! https://www.southwestmedical.com/Whe...ir-Pouch/2320p It runs 8 1/2 wide, 6 or so long and 2 inches deep. I ran the standard issue straps it comes with over the arm rest. It stays in place really well.

    Great idea!

I got off work one evening and we had cloud covering the sky and it pitch black outside. I could only so far outside. I had to guess where the ramp was from the sidewalk to the parking lot. I found the ramp by luck but if I didn't I would have tumble over a 5" curb. Lights from the other buildings didn't help but this happen couple days in a row. Then I thought about putting a light underneath my 'chair to see where I am going.

I wrote my branch chief about this and it turned into a safety issue. They spent $1900 to light up the parking lot then a month later they moved me to another building.

Sticking with the thread can you post the amazon.com web link to the lights you got?

    Thanks!

Here is the link to the lights I got. Now they have a 2 pack for $13.99!!!!! I also use a head lamp I got at the hardware store around the corner. Just a basic elastic strap with a front mounted light with an angle adjustment. That way I can turn my head and inspect the curb and watch for uneven spots better. I can also look at the car beside me that might be turning in front of me and really get their attention.
