    Well sorry to hear about your situation. I'm a T-9 T-10. Post injury 26 years. Attitude is everything when comes to dealing SCI. Some might say you should accept your situation and move on and others might say you can never accept your situation. I've seen both types of people over this long period and I would say acceptance is the best way to deal your new situation. The acceptance part is realising that you have to approach life differently. You have to figure out how to do things differently. Just because your in a wheelchair doesn't mean you can't live a full and productive life. I'm living proof of that. It's a long and tough road and there are both physical and mental barriers but if you put your mind to it you can accomplish great things. Think positively and have faith that you will succeed. You will be mightily tested along the way.

    Oh and my in patient time was 6 months and 6 months out. How things have changed! Ye haw!
