There is a new Pharma Cara in Stamford CT who has a new med they have in trials. I have Central Pain + other pain modalities and was not acceptable for the trials. I'm quite friendly with one of my pain docs and he has high hopes for their medication.

Someone suggested I look into Quell pain relief device.

The advertising material says it relieves pain by stimulating sensory nerves with a gizmo strapped to the calf that talks to an internet application which allows the user to adjust the settings. Sounds too good to be true and at a cost of $250.00, I'm highly skeptical. What do you guys think?

Sounds pretty fishy to me. I don't think it would work either.

I think many of these are for ABs with minor aches and pains. I'm glad if it works for folks and glad most never understand pain as we do, -ket

Could you describe that to me? Is that like nerve pain, or like broken bone kinda pain?

Central pain is another term for neuropathic pain caused by damage to the central nervous system (brain and/or spinal cord) vs. peripheral neuropathic pain, which is due to damage to peripheral nerves (outside of the brain or spinal cord).
