Could this be the answer to wheelchair accessible beaches/heavy sand?

Found this picture on Pinterest . . . . and here is a link (this chair can be found in Spain) http://www.spain-holiday.com/rentalb...idays-in-spain

Has anyone used this or have any additional info?

I know . . . i'm scouring internet but can't find any info on the manufacturer. The wheel design looks like it would push the soft sand through it's openings . . . wish there was more info. $20 dollar amazon gift card to anyone who can provide info!!

I would think that any decent aluminium welder could knock up the double-handrim-with-slotted-aluminium-insert, which you then just attach to a set of relatively cheap plastic wheels. Nice cheap simple solution, like all the best things are!

Add a freewheel to the footrest of your chair, and you should be good to go.

It would be interesting to see how it goes on soft sand, and how it compares to balloon type wheels.

No need to provide the gift card to me...Australia seems to be the only place in the world that Amazon isn't given free licence to operate...!!
