    New cure

I seen something on face book about a cure involving chemicals and an electrical implant. Does anyone else know about this?

Gregoire Courtine and his research was the first I heard about right after getting injured which seemed impressive seeing them rats running. But now more than 3 years after and still no human trials. Wonder when

I was told this by their COO yesterday

Indeed, we are preparing a clinical study that should hopefully start sometime this year, once we will have received all approvals from competent authorities.
Patients will be selected based on strict inclusion and exclusion criteria.
I think they are starting with incompletes
we will start the trials with less severe lesions, and eventually enroll patients with more severe lesions if early results are good enough to move on.

This looks like Gregoire Courtine's lab's work in Switzerland. His lab is planning clinical trials in mid 2016. He is the protege of Reggie Edgerton, whose lab did all the epidural simulation on the 4 patients. I am also looking forward to this as it is the upgraded version of the epidural simulation.

From what I've read, seen, it's not so much a cure but more of an implant to trigger movement controlled by a device rather than through control by the brain. More or less an implant to help recover from injury by initiating movement.

    He has a website here:
    http://courtine-lab.epfl.ch
    http://gtherapeutics.com/

However I found this site to be the most interesting with short videos where he tells the whole story of what they did:
