I spoke with them last week. The controller can have programs in it to make you stand, take steps, sit with good posture, pedal a recumbent bike, help you transfer, ect... all customized to you. I believe they also have a trial going on to stimulate muscles to improve sitting posture and hand function.

I am going to case western on December 10th for a screening appointment.
They are planning on implanting this new device for the first time in January 2016. It will stimulate the muscles to help trunk control and hand function.
Their current device seen in the video can be used for trunk control, standing, stepping, pedaling.

Do you know how would that work? Let's say the hand function, is it voluntarily?or something like pressing buttons to open or close hand?

The old device works by pressing a button to turn the stim on. I'm not sure about the new one yet. When I'm there we are going to go over everything they have available and the differences between devices.

Hope you get in Wills77! Sounds promising, best of luck! Even a little hand function back for a quad would make such a difference.
