    long flights and foleys

I've never used a foley cath, just intermittent cath. Did a flight from Chicago to LAX and just barely made it in time to get off and get straight to a restroom. So it has me wondering now if people are using a foley for the duration of long travel and if so could you offer some insight to the actual products. Are there different types, one that might be a better fit for this particular need over another? Health risks?

If you put a foley in for a relatively short time, you should not have any problems when you remove it. Make sure you drink a lot (2 quarts or more), of primarily water.

Thanks Nurse. Are there different types that would be better than another for use in a short time frame? Or are foley designs all basically the same?
