New van transfer seats too high

My shoulders are killing me trying to transfer into my Odyssey driver's seat, 6 way transfer seat , B & D base, Katzkin seat. The lowest it goes isn't low enough by about two inches. Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

I would suggest taking it back to the place you purchased/had conversion done and tell them your dilemma - they should be able to correct it?

You could temporarily have a plywood platform built for the floor of the van.

NOT that simple. many big mobility places wont mod anything. im working on a solution my self. could take to upholstery place and have seat base reworked for lesser profile.

You might want to look into the possibility of using a different seat. I have the opposite problem with my Ricon power base, could use an inch or two higher, but that can probably be resolved with the addition of spacers between the bottom of the seat to the power base.

I had the same problem, with my B&D base. I went back to the dealer Mobility Works and they were able to lower about 2 inches. "Lowest it can go" is not always accurate. Talk it over with them and don't take no for an answer. Good luck.

Depending on the dealer there are many options.

As you just found out first hand most places are only equipped to bolt stuff in.

They don't have the equipment needed to modify and custom fit equipment.

Some shops have more equipment and are able to offer more options.
