    How about an implanted spinal cord simulator.

    Like the ones from

    Very mixed results with those and the surgery is pretty risky...
    T3 complete since Sept 2015.

    When you say pretty risky, what are you referring to?

    You can at least trial them, before they do the full implant so you have some idea if it would provide any kind of relief.

    I am sure the margins and profit margins are huge for this, as every pain doctor I've ever spoken to has given me the hard sell on these.
    There seems to be no issue with insurance paying !!
    Would be interesting to know the benefits and pitiful of the competing products.. plus their sales numbers.
    Everyone seems to talk smack about medtronics !

    Any idea how you try something out that requires surgery?

    I had a Medtronic stimulator implanted from 1986 to 87. Three different locations were tried, but no pain relief at any location or any stimulator setting. It couldn't be pushed above my injury because of scar tissue in the way.
